Introduction

Schema Clinic ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify app operated by Developer-Guy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use Schema Clinic.

Information We Collect

Store Information

When you install Schema Clinic, we collect your Shopify store domain, store name, and contact email through Shopify's OAuth process. This is required to provide the service.

Store Content

To perform schema audits, we access your store's public page content, product data, collection data, blog posts, and pages through the Shopify API. This data is used solely to detect, validate, and generate structured data markup.

Schema Data

We store the results of schema audits — detected schema blocks, validation issues, health scores, and generated schema configurations. This data is associated with your store and retained for the duration of your subscription.

How We Use Your Information

• To scan your store pages and detect existing structured data
• To validate schema markup against Google's requirements
• To generate clean JSON-LD structured data for your store
• To calculate and track your Schema Health Score
• To manage your subscription and billing through Shopify

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your store data with third parties. Your data is only accessed by Schema Clinic's servers to provide the service. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose other than operating Schema Clinic.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Data Retention

We retain your store data and audit history for the duration of your active subscription. If you uninstall Schema Clinic, your store record is deactivated. You may request complete deletion of your data by contacting us.

Shopify API Permissions

Schema Clinic requests the following Shopify API scopes:

• read_themes — to detect theme-injected schema markup
• read_products — to generate Product schema from your catalogue
• read_content — to access blog posts and pages for schema detection
• write_content — to set scanner configuration metafields
• read_online_store_pages — to access custom pages for scanning

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your store
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Uninstall the app at any time, which deactivates your account
